On Monday Rebecca, our Canadian volunteer, left on her long trip back to Edmonton, Canada. She was such a great help at Tembelitsha Primary and Ella’s soup kitchen in Concordia. She and her quirky ways will be missed. Now we are just down to one!

Tonight is our farewell to George Lawton from Manchester who has been volunteering at Sunridge Primary school in Hornlee in Knysna for 9 weeks. We are off to Panarotti’s for ‘all you can eat’ pizza!!! We are going to miss him and his smiling face. The kids have learnt a lot from him in the classroom and on the soccer field. He has been such a great help with the Knysna Sports School’s cricket particularly the ‘Hot Dog’ league. He was also such a star when we painted the Dorothy Broster Children’s home. He’s been a great help all round with boundless energy and it was such a privilege to have him here.

How hard is it to make friends with those that look slightly different from us?

Even the monkeys get it right
